The only Central Asian country with a „real“ Parliament. People quite friendly, police not affecting foreigners in any way, no bakshish. But beware: Extensive speed control all over.

Good restaurants scarce, Hyatt in Bishkek the best one, others not recommended. Avoid tap water, fish and salad with sensitive stomach.
